Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
