Child Pushed from Tate Modern Achieves Ability to Jump, Swim and Run
Parents of a child who received severe wounds after getting pushed from the 10th floor of London's museum have revealed their "courageous fighter" has achieved his goal of managing to jump, swim, and run anew.
The young boy was six years old when he was hurled from a balcony by a youth, previously seventeen.
He, who was traveling with his family in August 2019 when assaulted, lived through a 100ft drop but experienced permanent injuries, such as a brain hemorrhage and broken bones.
Parents stated in an update on a fundraising site, they were delighted that he had been able to improve with his swimming, running and jumping before his upcoming operation.
"He can't perform similar to other children his age, certainly, but we are unable to portray his actions in different terms than by saying it's swimming, running, and jumping."
"It's different, only over a couple of yards or a low level, but it's an remarkable success."
The boy, who spent many months in ICU, has kept to develop mental stamina.
His family stated although his memory skills were still very limited, they were effective and progressing, so he was "acquiring a general knowledge at his speed, which progressively allows him to be integrated with kids."
'Goal Achieved'
Parents noted: "He's also developing, and thanks to his work with the physical therapist, he now permits himself to rest."
"Previously, to counteract his disability on the left part, he held his right-hand side always rigid, which gave him pain."
"Currently, our pre-teen (we need to accept reality, he's not a little boy anymore) has realized that he has to allow himself breaks; we need to remind him not as much."
He also accomplished a long-held goal with parent: "As we reside a few kilometres from the sea, they had planned their final goal of having a picnic at the shore and then returning."
"Following several step-by-step practice runs, they ultimately finished their two-and-a-half-hour excursion. They returned weary but overjoyed. Mission accomplished."
Following a court case at the court, the youth was found guilty of murder attempt and was jailed in the year 2020 for no less than fifteen years.
